Festival of Life Conference with Joyce Meyer attracts thousands.

The three day Festival of Life Conference in Port Moresby has attracted more than 10, 000 people. Participants flew into Port Moresby from all over the country and internationally as well.
The festival theme ‘LIVE, LAUGH and LEARN’ featured international Christian author and teacher Joyce Meyer sharing messages of Hope, Love and Freedom. Australia’s gospel band Hillsongs led by Darlene Zschech led the 3 nights of high praise and worship.
A two day Leadership seminar was also conducted on Friday and Saturday morning with over 3000 participants. Speakers during the two days sessions were Joyce Meyer, Don Clowers, Brian Houston and Ps Dino Rizzo. The morning sessions were held in the Indoor Stadium whilst the night sessions were held outdoor.
Public Relations Officer for Joyce Meyer PNG team, Dorothy Koch Valuta said people who attended the leadership seminar received inspirational books and video cassettes from the Joyce Meyer Ministry. Mrs. Valuta said the purpose of the conference is to see the lives of Papua New Guineans change and build a strong and healthy nation based on God’s Word.
The 3 days festival of Life conference ended on Sunday.
PNG’s Christian Broadcasting Network – Wantok Radio Light have been broadcasting live throughout the festival and listeners nationally and internationally have been tuned in.
The Joyce Meyer ministry team during the week also visited Bomana prison and donated books and gifts to the prisoners.
The ministry has also opened new water well at Kwikila and a Church clinic at Kaugere suburb. Joyce Meyer is one of the world’s leading practical Bible teachers and is a New York Times bestselling author. Her books have helped millions of people find hope and restoration through Jesus Christ.

Updaiting of our website
The original website was created in 2006, and has not been updated ever since. Praise to God for this milestone of achievement. We aim to update, maintain and enhance the performance of this website so that it gives the best interaction between us and our supporters. This is only the beginning of better things to come, we hope to improve this website so that those accessing our website can download, programs, pdfs, mp3s, make online bookings or deposits and also our greatest desire is for you to access Wantok Radio Light on the Internet.

New team members
On board this year are three new staff members. We have two new announcers, Pastor Joe Pinia and Jimmy Lepufa Bani. Pastor Pinia formerly pastored the Papua New Guinea Bible Church in Lae town, he is mighty preacher well known throughout Morobe Province and other parts of PNG as well. With Pastor Pinia on board, we now have a total of four pastors serving in the ministry. This is a blessing, praise God.Mr. Bani on the other hand was formerly an announcer at NBC Port Moresby. He resigned a few year years ago and is now with Wantok Radio Light. With him and Ps. Joe, we now have seven announcers, including, Ps Jack Edwards, Mr. Bobson Sammy, Ms Thelma Ninjipa, Ms Paula Mini and our Program Director Ms Linda Sanana.
Apart from our two announcers, we also have on board with us Ps Kameniel Daniel and his wife Dorish and Mr. Daniel Asang. Ps. Daniel is currently the Property Manager of our new site. He and his wife are also in charge of the new Wantok Lodge transit rooms. Mr. Daniel Asang, is a Communication Arts graduate from Divine Word University, who joined us early this year. He is now working as our publication officer and is also responsible for updating this website.
With these new team members on board, we look forward for a great harvest of souls this year and believe that this ministry will progress with and by the grace of God.

2009 year of harvest
2009 is declared as the year of harvest here in Wantok Radio Light. God has put in the heart of the leadership of this radio ministry to bring more souls into the kingdom of God. Already we are seeing a mighty move of God through our broadcasting. Most of the times our announcers, have to stay up late, just to answer phone calls only to lead people to Christ or encourage those who are down in their lives. Many of our listeners are calling in to comment about the programs that have blessed them the most, make a request or simply to encourage us to go on in this ministry.
We are looking forward for greater harvest this year and it is our call to all our listeners and supporters to stand together with us in prayer.

Transit Rooms ready for use
Wantok Radio Light's new location is a blessing. We now have our own transit rooms ready for use. The rooms formerly occupied by our own staff and tenants is now transformed into the Wantok Lodge. Thanks to management of Wantok Radio Light and Pastor's Daniel and Dorish Kameniel, the transit rooms are now fully furnished with everything you can find in a typical hotel room. The work began early this year and is expected to be complete before the year ends.
